Philip Morris center for industrial development, Force IDC

2005 - 2007

Philip Morris Products SA, Neuenburg

General planning, architecture, Association with Geninasca-Delefortrie SA

The new industrial development center to be built on the existing production site of Philip Morris Products SA in Serrières-Neuchâtel is based on a structural concept which offers maximum industrial space, a building height up to 6m as well as great flexibility for the use of the different rooms.

The building covers industrial processes together with related surfaces, e.g. storage areas, work shops, logistics rooms, offices and technical installations.

The technical installations are integrated inside the building, thus avoiding any superstructure on the roof. The roof is covered with plants which creates harmony with the surrounding site.

The northern and southern facades are composed of double skin glazing which guarantees good quality thermal insulations of the envelope and maximum transmission of natural light. The layout pattern of the glazing profile provides a unity of vision of the two longitudinal facades.
